COVID-19 Class Safety Policies
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
- All students and staff must wear masks when at camp (except when eating or drinking)
- All individuals at class will maintain a minimum of six feet of social distance between them, and will be seated accordingly
- Speech & Debate Academy will equip every classroom with all necessary safety and disinfecting materials
- Students must bring all of their own necessary supplies: computers, pens, paper, etc.
- Students must bring their own bottled water to classes
CLASS COHORTS
- Each class group will consist of stable cohorts of no more than 10 – 12 kids (depending on state guidelines) for the week
- Each cohort will remain separate from other cohorts both indoors (only one cohort per classroom at a time) and outdoors (distanced from other cohorts by 15+ feet)
- No supplies will be shared amongst cohorts
ARRIVAL PROTOCOL
- Classes and staff will complete health screenings before being admitted to class
- Students and staff will wash their hands after each break and upon arrival in the building's designated hand washing station
- Students and staff that present with symptoms of infectious illness during the day will be sent home and asked to consult with their healthcare provider to determine if COVID-19 testing is recommended
FACILITIES
- A secure bathroom has been designated only for Speech & Debate Academy's use
- In addition to daily cleanings, each day before the campers arrive and after each break, the facility will be sterilized using UV Light Technology
- Staff and families receive training regarding safety guidelines and expectations at campusf
- Speech & Debate Academy will complete any state and county required safety planning, tools and/or certificates
- Speech & Debate Academy will post and follow any state and county required signage
